The first Intel W790 motherboard exposed: 16 memory slots, built for the new generation of Xeon workstations

CTOnews.com November 29 news, foreign media VideoCardz today exposed the appearance of the SuperMicro W790 motherboard. The motherboard will support Intel's upcoming fourth-generation Xeon-W series of Xeon workstation processors.

According to reports, this is an E-ATX motherboard with 6 PCIe X16 slots, 8-channel memory, 16 memory slots and three M.2 SSD slots.

According to the news previously exposed by foreign media VideoCardz, Intel's new workstation processors include W5, W7 and W9 series, with cores ranging from 12 cores to 56 cores.

CTOnews.com has reported that Intel's new generation of high-performance workstation processors will include the Xeon WMY 3400 and Xeon WMY 2400 series, which do not use the large and small core design on Core, and are all Golden Cove cores. The Xeon Wmuri 3400 series uses up to 56 cores and supports 4TB's 8-channel DDR5 memory, while the Xeon Wmur2400 series supports up to 24 cores and up to 512 GB 4-channel DDR5 memory.
