KDE Plasma 5.26.4 Desktop Environment release: improvements to Plasma Wayland, notifications, etc.
CTOnews.com November 30, the KDE project team recently launched the KDE Plasma 5.26.4 desktop environment. This is the fourth maintenance update in the KDE Plasma 5.26 desktop environment series and further refines existing functionality in addition to fixing many of the BUG that existed in previous versions.
Three weeks after the release of KDE Plasma 5.26.4 and the last maintenance version, the Plasma Wayland session was further improved, fixing two problems that could lead to a crash when clicking on the touch screen when disconnecting the external screen and when moving the cursor in the Plasma panel.
CTOnews.com learned that KDE Plasma 5.26.4 also improved Plasma X11 sessions for users who did not like to use Wayland and could not use Plasma, fixing a problem with white space around the Plasma panel when compositing was disabled.
KDE Plasma 5.26.4 also improves the Plasma notification so that the sharp upper corner will no longer appear. Vertical displays no longer have a slight overlap of one pixel, improved support for multi-display configurations, and improved the ability to unlock the screen with fingerprints, so that you no longer need to click the "unlock" button after successful fingerprint verification.
