Want to know what you'll look like when you get old? Disney showcases AI aging tool FRAN
CTOnews.com, December 1 (Xinhua)-- Disney Research Studios (Disney Research Studios) recently unveiled a network model of facial aging called FRAN, which can simplify the aging process of actors in filmmaking.
CTOnews.com learned that the FRAN model was developed by Disney Research Studio in Zurich to train the U-Net architecture on aging and aging by entering thousands of virtual faces into a database. FRAN can predict which parts of the face will change with age and can automatically generate or remove wrinkles.
By layering the original photos, the photos taken will also retain the true face of more actors. Artists can also use artificial intelligence to carry out more local control and freely fine-tune the effect of aging. Disney believes that for a finer level of control, this 3D aging solution can greatly reduce the amount of work in the filming process.
In past films, the aging operation of actors often relied on means such as makeup, and the whole preparation process could take weeks. Sometimes a movie needs to reshoot a scene, which can cost Hollywood studios a lot of money.
