CTOnews.com learned that when it comes to stopping online functionality, EA officials previously said: "as games are replaced by newer games, the number of players who still like games that have been online for some time has been reduced to a level-usually less than 1% of all EA games online peak players-at this level, it is no longer feasible to continue to maintain these games online services behind the scenes. We are also committed to constantly updating and improving the features and modes in the game to ensure that they attract players for as long as possible. The pursuit of good play sometimes means that we need to remove outdated features and patterns. "
EA also announced that online features in the games "Edge of the Mirror", "NBA Carnival: hot Edition", "Green Machine Gun" and "Shink 2" will be suspended on January 19, 2023.
