Large-scale outages of Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams in the Asia-Pacific region

CTOnews.com news on December 2, quoting foreign technology media theregister, reported that many of Microsoft's flagship cloud productivity services malfunctioned throughout the Asia-Pacific region yesterday. "our preliminary findings indicate that the performance of our service infrastructure is limited to the level of sub-optimal, resulting in the normal use of regular service functions," the report said in a report released at 12:41 International Standard time (08:41 Beijing time).

The message states that Exchange Online user customers may not be able to access the service, send emails and / or files, or use "general features" described by Microsoft. The impacts of Teams users include:

Users may have problems scheduling / editing meetings and real-time meetings.

The personnel Selector (People Picker) / search function may not work as expected.

Users may not be able to search for Microsoft Teams.

Users may not be able to load the tasks tab in Microsoft Teams.

Messaging, chat, channels and other core Teams services still seem to be available.

Microsoft said it was not clear what caused the problems. Seventeen minutes after the first downtime status update was released, it was written in the second update: "We continue to analyze the relevant diagnostic data while trying to restart a subset of the affected basic settings. Observe that rebooting can alleviate this problem.

CTOnews.com learned that at 03:14 international standard time (11:14 Beijing time last night), it was noted that the incident also now affects SharePoint Online, Microsoft PowerApps and Microsoft PowerAutomate.
