December 12 news, according to foreign media reports, Microsoft will acquire about 4% of the London Stock Exchange and acquire shares in the London Stock Exchange from Blackstone, Canadian Pension (CPP) and Singapore Sovereign Fund (GIC).

It is reported that the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and Microsoft are engaged in a 10-year strategic partnership on next-generation data and analytics and cloud infrastructure solutions. LSEG has signed a contract with Microsoft to reduce cloud computing-related spending to $2.8 billion (currently about 19.488 billion yuan) during the partnership period. The deal is expected to significantly boost the group's revenue growth as new products are put into use.

In 2021, LSEG acquired Refinitiv for $27 billion, making the exchange the second-largest financial data company after Bloomberg LP.
