Meter, the company that installs and manages Wi-Fi for enterprises, details this problem on M1 / M2 Mac devices in its latest blog post. In the blog post, the company said that Apple has received feedback from users, and that some Wi-Fi suppliers have also reported to Apple.

Apple has upgraded the latest macOS beta to a candidate, solving peer-to-peer issues affecting the Wi-Fi connection between Apple MacBook M1 / M2 devices and iPhone devices. All tests on beta and candidate versions were positive, and IT services, Apple and other campus entities were unable to reproduce the problem. As a temporary solution to improve WiFi connectivity, Apple recommends that users turn off the AWDL interface (which will disable AirDrop / AirPlay). It is not clear how widespread these problems are. Most of the reports seem to come from users connected to the Wi-Fi network managed by the enterprise or education team.
