CTOnews.com, December 17, the KDE Plasma 5.27 desktop environment is about to be released, and this is the last feature version of KDE before it enters version 6.0. KDE developer Marco Martin outlined the main new features and functions of KDE Plasma 5.27 in his blog post, focusing on optimizing multi-display application scenarios.

Main functions of KDE Plasma 5.27:

When connecting to a previously connected screen, it is no longer a blank desktop by default.

Desktops, wallpapers, widgets and panels are no longer lost after reboot

There are no different combinations between X11 and Wayland desktops

Improved support for USB-C docking stations
