KDE developer Marco Martin outlined the main new features and functions of KDE Plasma 5.27 in his blog post, focusing on optimizing multi-display application scenarios.

Main functions of KDE Plasma 5.27:

When connecting to a previously connected screen, it is no longer a blank desktop by default.

Desktops, wallpapers, widgets and panels are no longer lost after reboot

There are no different combinations between X11 and Wayland desktops

Improved support for USB-C docking stations
