The world's most popular mobile app download TOP10:Instagram topped the list in November 2022, followed by Douyin and TikTok

CTOnews.com, December 19 (Xinhua)-- according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data, Instagram topped the global mobile app (non-game) download list in November 2022 with more than 62 million downloads, an increase of 12.1% over November 2021. Of these, the Indian market accounted for 47.3% of the downloads, the Brazilian market accounted for 5.2% of the downloads and the Indonesian market accounted for 5%.

The complete list of TOP10 downloads of the world's most popular mobile apps is shown in the chart above. Note: downloads only count App Store and Google Play, excluding third-party Android markets in China and other regions. CTOnews.com learned that Douyin and its overseas version of TikTok ranked second with nearly 5500 million downloads, roughly the same as the same period last year. China is the market with the largest number of downloads, accounting for 12.3%, followed by Indonesia with 8.5%, followed by the United States with 8.2%.

The other three apps in the top five are Facebook, CapCut and WhatsApp.

In November 2022, nearly 7.3 billion downloads of global applications (non-games) were downloaded on App Store and Google Play, up 2.3% from a year earlier. India ranks first with 1.55 billion downloads, accounting for 21.3% of the world's total downloads. The US market ranks second with 9.7 per cent downloads, followed by China's iOS market, accounting for 6.7 per cent.

Note: Sensor Tower downloads only count the first installation of App Store or Google Play accounts, and do not repeat the statistics of multiple installations of the same account in different or the same devices. Download data has been merged with multiple versions of the same application, such as Facebook and Facebook Lite.
