Musk: as soon as I found the "fool" to take over, I resigned as Twitter CEO.
CTOnews.com, December 21 (Xinhua)-- Elon Musk responded to the results of the vote on Twitter, saying that he would find someone stupid enough to take over as Twitter CEO as soon as possible, and resign as soon as he found himself. Musk said that after his resignation, he will only be responsible for managing the software and server team.
Musk posted an opinion poll on Twitter on Sunday, asking Twitter users whether he should step down as Twitter CEO and that he would abide by it regardless of the outcome. The final poll showed that 58 per cent of users supported him stepping down as CEO.
CTOnews.com learned of reports earlier today that people familiar with the matter said Mr Musk was looking for a new CEO for the company. The work has been going on, and it started before Musk launched the poll.
Musk tweeted on Sunday that there was no one willing to lead Twitter to life, so there was no successor, adding that the problem was not finding a CEO, but finding a CEO that would keep Twitter alive.
