SK Group is considering selling some assets in Vietnam and Malaysia to raise billions of dollars
December 26, according to foreign media reports, SK Group may sell some of the assets held by its subsidiary SK Southeast Asia Investment Company in Vietnam and Malaysia in order to raise billions of dollars in response to the economic downturn.
It is reported that the SK Group established the Southeast Asia Investment Company in Singapore in 2018. After the establishment of SK Southeast Asia Investment Company, SK Group expanded aggressively in Southeast Asia and turned to "making a profit by selling assets".
An investment banker pointed out that SK Group is not in a financial crisis, it just wants to get money to prepare for the deteriorating economic situation.
SK Group mainly includes SK Hynix, SK Telecom, SK On and SK Ecopp, etc., with businesses related to energy, communications, semiconductors and so on.
