The "Danuri" is about to begin testing all kinds of systems and equipment on board to carry out lunar exploration missions. It is equipped with a high-resolution camera developed by the Research Institute, which will photograph the lunar surface at a resolution of up to 2.5 meters. It is also equipped with a wide-angle polarization camera and a gamma-ray spectrometer, which will be used to explore underground resources on the moon. It will also use a polarizer to photograph the far side of the moon.

CTOnews.com learned that the lunar orbiter was launched from SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket on August 5, marking South Korea's first deep space mission. The 678-kilogram probe will lay the foundation for South Korea's ongoing lunar exploration and point out potential landing sites on the lunar surface for future missions.
