Ubuntu Studio project director Erich Eickmeyer and his wife Amy, an early education expert, are looking to lead the Edubuntu team and hope to have a second spring in this education-centric distribution.

CTOnews.com learned that they want to guide the new Edubuntu into a derivative version of Ubuntu based on GNOME, which will preinstall various educational packages and provide different software collections according to the preschool, primary / primary and secondary schools of the user's choice.
