CTOnews.com, January 3, according to CCTV, CNOOC said that China's first far-reaching offshore floating wind power platform, "Offshore Oil View Lan", had completed the main project construction in Qingdao yesterday. This marks the construction of the world's first "double hundred" offshore wind power project with a water depth of more than 100 meters and an offshore distance of more than 100 kilometers.

According to reports, the "Offshore Oil View Lan" platform is composed of three side pillars and one central post, with a side length of more than 80 meters, a height of about 35 meters, and a weight of nearly 4000 tons. The wind turbine will be installed on the central post, and its completion will enhance the independent development capacity of China's offshore wind power from less than 50 meters to a water depth of more than 100 meters, which is a key step in the development of China's far-reaching offshore wind power.

CTOnews.com learned that after the project is put into production, the power generated by the wind turbine will be connected to the power grid of offshore oil fields through dynamic submarine cables for oil and gas production, with an annual generating capacity of 22 million kilowatt hours, saving 7.73 million cubic meters of fuel gas and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 22000 tons.

Officials said that the project, by CNOOC, a number of advanced equipment manufacturing enterprises in the United Nations, has independently completed the research, design and construction of far-reaching offshore floating wind power for the first time, and is at an advanced level in many indicators such as investment per megawatt, steel consumption per megawatt and capacity of a single floating wind turbine.
