Samsung releases 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 curved game display, Odyssey G8 QD-OLED will be on the shelves soon

CTOnews.com, January 4, Samsung launched an impressive range of displays for gaming, content creation and productivity on CES 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 curved surface display uses Mini LED technology with a contrast ratio of 1 million: 1 and supports HDR1000. In addition, the display has a matte surface, a refresh rate of 240Hz and a response time of 1ms.

On the input side, it points out the DisplayPort 2.1interface, which is the first time a game display has been installed, as well as HDMI and USB-C ports.

Currently, Apple's macOS does not have native support for 8K displays, but that may change with the launch of the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 monitors will be on the shelves next year. However, the price has not yet been announced.

Samsung took the opportunity to remind customers that the Odyssey G8 QD-OLED, which made its debut at IFA in 2022, will be on the shelves soon.

In terms of interface, the Odyssey OLED G8 is equipped with Micro HDMI (2.1,1.4) and USB-C ports for multiple connections, as well as 5W stereo speakers.

This week Samsung also announced the ViewFinity S9 and updated M8 smart displays.
