CTOnews.com, January 4-Samsung introduced its first consumer-grade Micro LED TV in 2019. At CES 2023, Samsung announced its latest Micro LED TV lineup, which is available in 50-inch, 63-inch, 76-inch, 89-inch, 101in, 1141in and 140inch sizes.

Samsung's new 4K Micro LED TV has a peak brightness of 4000 nits, a refresh rate of 240Hz and a response time of 2 nanoseconds. Because Samsung's Micro LED TVs are modular rather than prefabricated, they can be arranged in any shape or size according to the needs of users. This is mainly because the screen frames of these televisions are almost negligible.

CTOnews.com learned that Micro LED sees it as a monument to on-screen display technology, providing black and visual angles similar to OLED, as well as persistent brightness similar to Mini-LED. Each pixel of a Micro LED TV can display its own backlight and color, which means that the TV does not need a separate backlight.

Because they don't use organic materials like OLED and QD-OLED displays, Micro LED panels don't burn. However, they are now very expensive, and their prices are expected to fall in the next few years, making them a viable option for ordinary consumers.
