Acer launches Nitro 16 / Nitro 17 two mid-range game notebooks for casual players
CTOnews.com, January 4, Acer upgraded two mid-range game notebooks Nitro 16 / Nitro 17 at CES 2023. Both notebooks are equipped with Intel 13th generation CPU and Nvidia RTX 40 series GPU.
Unlike Acer's Predator Helios 16 and 18 laptops for high-end players, the new Acer Nitro 16 and Nitro 17 are aimed at more casual gamers. Acer said the Nitro 16 / Nitro 17 mid-range gaming notebooks will be launched in May this year, starting at $1199.99, but the official did not release detailed specifications.
CTOnews.com learned that although the official specifications have not been released, the technology media Androidheadlines speculated that based on previous models, the two laptops will be equipped with Intel 13th-generation Core i5 or Core i7 models with the highest 16GB memory, but can be upgraded to 32GB using two soDIMM modules.
There will be differences in screen size between the two. Nitro 17 should be a 17.3-inch IPS panel with FHD and QHD options and a refresh rate of 165Hz or 144Hz. On the other hand, the 16-inch model will have a 16-inch IPS panel with WUXGA and WQXGA resolution options, both of which have 165Hz refresh rates.
