After a 24-hour battery test, it is found that the power consumption of the message screen display function on the iPhone 14 Pro model is really not serious:

Turn on the screen with wallpaper disabled: consume about 0.6% extra power per hour

CTOnews.com learned that this is the power consumption from the test, and the actual power consumption will be lower in daily use. This is when your iPhone screen goes into full black in the following scenarios:

IPhone in pocket or backpack

Turn on sleep focus mode

After iPhone connects to CarPlay

Use Continuity Camera

Without using iPhone for a period of time (your iPhone will know your activity mode and turn off and turn on the display accordingly, including whether you have set an alarm clock or sleep schedule)

Your iPhone detects that you have left it with your paired Apple Watch (when your Apple Watch approaches your iPhone again, the constant highlight will turn on)

In extreme cases, Apple iPhone users consume no more than 20% of their power in a day when the message screen is turned on.
