AMD sharp dragon 7940HS processor is equipped with RDNA3 core display: 12CU specification, frequency up to 3GHz

CTOnews.com, January 5, AMD today released the Sharon 7040HS series of notebook processors, which uses 4nm technology, uses 8-core Zen4 CPU and RDNA3 kernel display, and is equipped with the latest Ruilong AI engine.

The core display performance of this series of processors was not emphasized at the AMD conference. CTOnews.com noted on the AMD official website that the Ruilong 7040HS series processors use 12CU RDNA3 kernel display at the highest frequency, and the frequency is as high as 3GHz, and its performance is expected to be greatly improved.

As shown in the figure above, the R9 7940HS is equipped with Radeon 780m kernel display, has 12CU, and the frequency is as high as 3GHz. R5 7640HS is equipped with Radeon 760m nuclear display, has 8CU, and the frequency is as high as 2.8GHz. In addition, this series of processors also support LPDDR5X-7500 high-frequency memory.

AMD Ruilong 7040 HS series model parameters are as follows:

R9 7940HS:8 core 16 threads, up to 5.2GHz TDP 35-45W

R7 7840HS:8 core 16 threads, up to 5.1GHz TDP 35-45W

R5 7640HS:6 core 12 threads, up to 5.0GHz TDP 35-45W
