According to reports in the morning of January 12, Beijing time, not long ago, hackers sold a large amount of Twitter data online, and Twitter claimed that there was no evidence that the data was obtained through vulnerabilities in the company's system.

"there is no evidence that the data sold online was obtained by hackers using vulnerabilities in the Twitter system," Twitter said in a blog post. "the data may be public data collected and come from different information sources."

Early last year, Twitter learned about the existence of the loophole through the "award-winning bug catch project". Last August, Twitter told users that system vulnerabilities had leaked Twitter user accounts and that users' email addresses and mobile phone numbers had been stolen.

In December, it was reported that hackers may have obtained more than 400 million email addresses and mobile phone numbers associated with Twitter, the data leaked through a vulnerability discovered in January 2022.
