Traveling more than 1900 meters, Zhu Rong has left nearly 4000 words "medium" on Mars.

CTOnews.com, January 16 (Xinhua) according to CCTV news, there are two "Zhong" characters designed on the rear wheels of the Zhu Rong rover, which will leave a "Zhong" mark on the Martian land when driving forward. At present, the Zhu Rong has traveled more than 1900 meters, leaving nearly 4000 words "medium".

Jia Yang, deputy chief designer of the Mars rover, said that this design is not only commemorative, but also has a technical meaning, and can judge risks such as whether the rover slips according to the word spacing.

CTOnews.com learned that the Zhurong rover, the Tianming-1 mission rover, was launched by the long March V Yao IV carrier rocket from the Wenchang Space launch site in China on July 23, 2020, and arrived on the surface of Mars on May 22, 2021. On August 23, 2021, I wish the Mars rover Rong safely spent 100 days on Mars with a mileage of more than 1000 meters.
