CTOnews.com, January 16, Wyoming (Wyoming), despite having one of the largest wind farms in the United States, is considering a new proposal to completely stop selling new electric cars by 2035.

CTOnews.com learned that the proposal, led by U.S. Senator Jim Anderson, said Wyoming's "proud and valuable" oil and gas industry had created "countless" jobs and contributed a lot of revenue to the state's "coffers".

Anderson believes that Wyoming lacks the charging infrastructure to promote the popularity of electric vehicles, and the state needs to build a large number of new energy infrastructure to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles. In the proposal, Anderson called on residents and companies to voluntarily restrict the purchase of electric cars, with the goal of halting the sale of new electric vehicles in the state completely by 2035.

At present, many states in the United States are promoting the electrified development of cars, improving various infrastructure, expanding the scale of charging stations, and providing a variety of preferential policies. The Wyoming bill is completely contrary to the current situation in the United States, and it is not clear whether it will be passed and put into effect.
