CTOnews.com January 18, Ningde Times announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation with UL Solutions, a global expert in applied safety science, to jointly promote the safe and reliable landing of battery energy storage systems and power batteries.

According to the memorandum, Ningde Times will launch the WTDP accredited laboratory applying for UL 9540A. UL 9540A is a test standard for evaluating the spread of large-scale thermal runaway in battery energy storage systems. After obtaining the WTDP accredited laboratory qualification of UL Solutions, Ningde era is able to use its own laboratory testing equipment to conduct UL 9540A testing under the supervision of UL Solutions personnel, thus further improving product testing efficiency and shortening the product launch cycle.

CTOnews.com has learned that Ningde Times has been awarded the UL1973 energy storage and power auxiliary battery standard, UL 9540 energy storage system and equipment standard and UL 2580 power battery standard WTDP accredited laboratory qualification granted by UL Solutions.

Ningde Times said that its outdoor liquid-cooled energy storage cabinet EnerOne and container liquid-cooled energy storage system EnerC have obtained the latest version of UL 9540A test report, and Ningde Times has become the first company in China to obtain the latest version of UL Solutions full-series UL 9540A test report of battery, cabinet and container level.
