CTOnews.com, January 24, Microsoft recently launched a new Snipping Tool application with built-in screen recording capabilities. While it was nice to see that Microsoft finally provided a native screencap tool in its operating system, users found that the application lacked many basic functions, such as pausing screencap and changing the frame rate. Fortunately, Microsoft has updated the application with some much-needed features.

CTOnews.com learned that the latest Snipping Tool 11.2212.24.0 already supports pausing screen recording and has a simplified mode switch.

Unfortunately, the application still does not allow you to change the frame rate, which is capped at 30fps, and cannot relocate the screencap area when paused.
