CTOnews.com, January 30 (Xinhua)-- according to Microsoft's official release, the Office 365 service operated by Century Internet has enabled support for IPv6 and HTTP / 2, which will significantly improve the performance and user experience of all customers accessing Office 365 services.

For the vast majority of customers, this change does not require users to do anything, just enjoy the improvement. However, for some of their own network management is more complex, such as customers have custom proxy and firewall settings, then need to refer to the above documents, update the proxy or firewall rules, in order to better take advantage of the improvement brought by IPv6.

CTOnews.com learned that the Office 365 service enabled support for HTTP / 2. HTTP / 2 is the latest HTTP transport protocol standard. As the successor of HTTP / 1.x, it will significantly improve network delay, throughput, and security.

Microsoft has previously announced that Exchange Online will begin to provide IPv6 access and that if end-user devices have IPv6 enabled, they can access Exchange Online services through IPv6. If your organization has enabled IPv6 access but is restricted by a firewall, you need to update the firewall configuration.
