In a recent interview with the New York Post, George Hayward (George Hayward) said he was fired by the company in November last year for refusing to participate in a "negative test" in the development of Messanger.

Heyward believes that Meta's move may "hurt some users" and accelerate power consumption without explicitly informing users, and Hayward defended his rights through arbitration after he was fired. Hayward did not say how many people might have been affected by the negative test, nor did he say whether the Messenger test was out of the testing phase.

Facebook applications have long been accused of consuming too much power. Reddit posts in 2020 show that Messenger applications use more power than PUBG Mobile.
