CTOnews.com, January 31 (Xinhua) Thunder Snake hasn't launched a smartphone for some time, but the company recently released an Android game handset, Razer Edge,PBKreviews, which has been dismantled. The device is constructed very much like a smartphone, but there is no camera on the back, only one on the front, and is located on the long side, because the device is designed for horizontal use.

The first to be disassembled is the card slot, which can hold one nanoSIM and one microSD card. The disassembled device is a Wi-Fi-only model that supports Wi-Fi 6e connections.

Razer Edge's plastic backplane has some passive cooling systems for graphite film, but the device also has an active cooling system, mesh-covered vents and a small hidden fan that carries heat from the chipset through a cooling pad, cooling paste and a layer of copper tape. There is a steam chamber on the other side of the circuit board, which discharges heat through the display.

The active cooling fan on the Razer Edge, the copper strip on the chipset, the hot melt adhesive and hot pad entry Razer Edge are equipped with 6GB's LPDDR5 memory and 128GB's UFS 3.1 storage, all stacked on the G3x Gen 1 chipset, which sells for $400.

CTOnews.com learned that PBKreviews gave Razer Edge a repairable rating of 6.5 to 10, and the main problem was the limited availability of replacement parts.
