CTOnews.com, February 1, Creative Technology recently launched a new USB sound card, Sound Blaster X5, which provides a high-quality audio experience through dual DAC.

Digital-to-analog converters (DAC) can enhance the audio of Mac by converting digital 1s and 0s into analog signals. Therefore, it can provide better audio quality over a wider range of sound.

The Sound Blaster X5 is the first product in the innovative company's Sound Blaster series with a dual DAC design. The two Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC provide high-resolution lossless playback at 32-bit / 384kHz over PCM, with an ultra-high dynamic range of up to 130 dB DNR.

DAC can also decode audio formats in DoP128 and DSD256 to achieve high-fidelity audio streams. The Sound Blaster X5 also reduces audio distortion and provides a total harmonic distortion level of 0.00018%.

The device can drive headphones with an impedance up to 600 ohms and an in-ear listener with an output impedance of 1 ohms. CTOnews.com learned that another selling point of this USB sound card is the upgrade of Xamp discrete headset double amplification technology in design.

The Sound Blaster X5 uses dual DAC and dual Xamp configurations to isolate and amplify the left and right channels in the whole magnification chain, effectively eliminating in-circuit interference, noise and crosstalk of the headset output.

The Sound Blaster X5 features bidirectional RCA and TOSLINK fiber connectors, one port each for USB-C and USB-A, and a 3.5mm microphone input port with microphone gain knob.

The Sound Blaster X5 is already on sale at Innovation online Mall with a retail price of $279.99 (currently about 1890 yuan).
