Based on Android development, Meta second-generation meta-universe smartwatch exposure
CTOnews.com February 1 news, according to foreign technology media 9to 5 Google reports, whistleblower Kuba Wojciechowski shared the latest screenshots about Meta's second generation smart watch. From the rendering, its appearance and the original generation are not much different.
Meta is further improving the hardware ecosystem of Meta Universe and may be developing a smart watch internally. According to the information currently available, this watch will use Qualcomm's SoC chip, and the system will be based on Android system modification, not WearOS.
Most of Meta's existing hardware is based on Android, for example, Meta Quest series of headsets are based on Android.
From the picture, Meta's new smartwatch features a detachable bezel design, which means that the smartwatch can be removed from the wrist when worn by the user. CTOnews.com understands that the watch is equipped with two cameras, with a low resolution camera on the front and a higher resolution camera on the bottom.
In new photos provided to Wojciechowski by anonymous sources, we see that the overall form factor remains relatively unchanged, but the sensors at the bottom have been adjusted. On the front, the picture shows a new dial with a simple blue design and red seconds.
