CTOnews.com message on February 1, according to multiple Feedback Hub user posts, the Win11 system cannot properly install January update KB5022360, resulting in errors such as 0x800f0831.

CTOnews.com learned that one affected user wrote in a post: "my Hewlett-Packard laptop was unable to install the latest update: 2023-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022303), resulting in a 0x800f0988 error."

Another user commented: "I have tried to install this update many times in the past week, but I have encountered 0x80070005 errors. I have tried to restart, log out, close, clear the cache and other operations, but this error still exists."

Worryingly, similar Windows Update problems were reported in December, November, October, September and even August. In the worst case, the PC will cycle into the restart.
