CTOnews.com, February 2 (Xinhua)-- LG Display has applied the latest microlens array (MLA) technology on TV to the game OLED panel to improve screen brightness and visual angle, according to ET NEWS. LG's newly released 27-inch OLED 2K 240Hz display uses this technology.

CTOnews.com learned that LG's newly released OLED TV uses microlens array (MLA) technology. Officials said that a considerable part of the light produced by the organic light-emitting layer could not be transmitted because of the internal reflection of the panel, so there were some limitations in improving the brightness. LG Display overcomes this problem through microlens array (MLA, Micro Lens Array). The technology is to evaporate self-luminous organic matter on the tiny protruding lens pattern that is invisible to the eye, so as to achieve the maximum luminous effect. based on the same brightness, the energy efficiency of this difficult technology is improved by about 22%.

LG 27GR95QE 27-inch OLED display is now on the market in China, with QHD 240Hz specifications, the price is 9999 yuan. According to foreign media reports, although the display is marked with a brightness of only 200 nits, it can reach a peak brightness of 1000 nits when displaying HDR content.
