CTOnews.com, February 8 (Xinhua)-- Ross Young, CEO of screen supply chain consulting firm DSCC, confirmed today that Apple Watch Ultra with MicroLED panels will be launched in 2025.

Young had predicted in January that Apple would launch an Apple Watch Ultra with MicroLED panels in 2025, and the latest news reconfirmed this information by citing the financial information of Apple supplier Osram.

Osram said in an earnings call for the fourth quarter of 2022 that the company plans to start reporting revenue from its microLED technology in 2025, which Young says is related to future microLED Apple Watch.

Several sources, including analyst Jeff Pu, have confirmed that Apple is developing the microLED Apple Watch, but other rumors suggest that the Apple will be launched in 2024. Young thinks we won't see new display technology in Apple Watch until the spring of 2025.
