CTOnews.com February 8, Samsung released the second generation QD-OLED smart TV S95C on CES 2023. Now, the S95C QD-OLED TV is available for purchase in the United States, with the 77-inch version priced at $4499.99 (currently about 30555 yuan). The new TV will be shipped on February 15, 2023.

The QD-OLED smart TV S95C is now available on Samsung's US website. The 55-inch version starts at $1499 (currently about 10178 yuan) and the 65-inch version starts at $1799 (currently about 12215 yuan). The 55-inch and 65-inch versions of the S95C are slightly more expensive than the previous generation of LG C2 OLED televisions. The 65-inch version is still cheaper than LG's G2 OLED TV. The 77-inch version of the S95C is the largest size a user can buy and sells for as much as $4499.99 (currently about 30555 yuan). This is nearly $1000 (currently about 6790 yuan) more expensive than LG's G277in.

The QD-OLED Smart TV S95C features 70W 4.2.2 channel speakers, active voice amplifier, dual Bluetooth audio, Wi-Fi 5, four HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB ports, one Ethernet port and one fiber optic port.

CTOnews.com learned that the S95C is the top product in the series, and the S90C model will be more affordable because it does not have Samsung One Connect box functionality and uses OTS Lite instead of OTS Plus Sound. As a result, the other 2023 QD-OLED TV series will be less than $4499.

Samsung said the new QD-OLED panel uses newer OLED HyperEfficient EL material (for blue luminous layers) and the IntelliSense AI,2023 QD-OLED TV has a peak brightness of 2000 nits, comparable to Mini-LED TVs and LG's latest OLED TVs. Samsung says the new material increases the brightness of each color in the RGB.

The 2023 QD-OLED TVs are expected to still run Samsung Tizen OS operating system and support SmartThings, Samsung Health, Bixby, Alexa, AirPlay 2, HDR10+, Tap View, Tap Sound and so on.
