Google said it would soon integrate artificial intelligence (AI), which can generate text and other content in search results, as it grapples with the challenge of ChatGPT, a popular AI chat robot funded by Microsoft.

Google, owned by Alphabet, has launched its own chat robot service, Bard.

At a press conference in Paris, Google executive Prabhakar Raghavan said the so-called generative artificial intelligence will enable users to interact with information in "entirely new ways".

"this may help local bakers work with customers on cake design, or help toy manufacturers come up with new creations. As we continue to introduce generative artificial intelligence technology into products, the only limit to search will be everyone's imagination."

Generative artificial intelligence is used to create something similar to human beings through code, using large amounts of data to generate new text, video or audio works.

Google said it would soon allow more developers and partners to test Bard.

CTOnews.com learned that ChatGPT, OpenAI's natural language processing model, was launched in November last year and is now popular all over the world. The tool is in the form of a chat robot, answers questions in a conversational way, and helps people generate code and various types of content.

Microsoft has launched a new version of Bing search engine (https://www.bing.com/new) and Edge browser, which integrates the recently hot ChatGPT technology developed by OpenAI. Microsoft says it's like having a research assistant, personal planner and creative partner when you search Web.
