The company has launched a technology called Blue Alchemy (Blue Alchemist), which uses melt electrolysis to separate aluminum, iron, silicon and other materials from lunar surface debris (lunar dust) and use them to make solar panels, glass and aluminum wires. The whole process needs only sunlight, no extra chemicals or water.

Blue Origin said that the technology can not only reduce the weight of raw materials brought from the earth, the whole process is also quite environmentally friendly, no carbon emissions or other pollutants, but also claims that the finished product can operate in the "harsh" environment of the moon for more than 10 years.

However, it remains to be seen whether NASA will eventually adopt this technology. CTOnews.com query learned that although NASA chose the blue origin Orbital Reef as one of the partners of the next generation commercial space station, and also chose the blue origin New Glenn rocket (not yet skimmed) to launch the ESCAPADE Mars mission, NASA's main moon landing company is still SpaceX.
