The new generation of Apple CarPlay will be launched at the end of the year, with the support of 14 car brands.
CTOnews.com, February 14 (Xinhua)-- on last year's WWDC 2022, Apple announced five major functional updates of the CarPlay, which are deeply integrated with car hardware to obtain vehicle data and seamlessly display speed, fuel margin, interior temperature and more instrument information.
Apple said that the first cars to support the next-generation CarPlay experience will be launched at the end of 2023, and at least 14 automakers are currently supporting the launch, including:
Acura, Audi, Ford, Honda, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Polaris, Porsche, Renault, Volvo
As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the new generation of CarPlay vehicles can also send content to multiple display screens in the vehicle, allowing users to directly complete the control station and adjust the interior environment through the CarPlay vehicle.
In addition, users will be able to customize their driving experience through the new generation of CarPlay vehicles and choose different dashboard display interfaces. The new generation of CarPlay vehicles also add support for widgets, and users will be able to view quick views of weather App and music App directly on the vehicle's dashboard.
