Musk said via video link at the World Government Summit in Dubai on February 15 that he plans to step down as Twitter CEO by the end of 2023 and find a successor, according to Bloomberg. Musk said that before he abdicates, Twitter needs to stabilize its business, including financial health and a clear product line.

"I think the end of this year will be the right time to find another leader, because I think Twitter should be stable around the end of the year." Musk said.
