Microsoft releases February update for Office: fix high-risk remote code execution vulnerability in Word
CTOnews.com, February 16 (Xinhua) Microsoft released several security updates for Microsoft Office versions that are still supported, in addition to updates to Win10 and Win11 systems during Patch Tuesday event in February this year.

Microsoft pushed KB5002323 updates to Office 2016, mainly fixing a high-risk remote code execution vulnerability in Word. An unauthenticated attacker can send a malicious email containing a RTF payload, which the user opens and is hijacked by a hacker to execute any command. Microsoft pushed KB5002316 updates to Office 2013 with the same content as Office 2016. Office 2019 does not appear in this list because it uses click-to-run distribution and receives security updates through Office Update.
