Instagram launched Channels, a radio channel similar to Telegram, and Zuckerberg himself came off the stage.

On the morning of February 17, Beijing time, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Thursday that his Instagram will launch a Telegram channel-like broadcast channel function, called Channels, which can only be accessed on mobile phones.

Creators can update content to fans through this channel, who cannot post in it, but can respond with emoticons and vote.

Zuckerberg's own channel, called Meta Channel 📢, says it will be the first station for Meta product news in the future.

He also said that in the future, the channel will "support cooperation such as cameo, AMA, etc." and that this feature will be introduced to Messenger and Facebook in the coming months.

The feature is being tested with a specific group of creators, including snowboarder Chloe Kim and streaming anchor Valkyrae, who will launch their own broadcast channels. The new channel could be a very useful new tool for content creators to share updates with their communities.
