Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu and OC_Formula for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, February 19, the "zero click attack" (Zero-click attacks) is an attack that hides malicious code through picture attachments in e-mails and text messages. Users can automatically trigger attacks without interaction, and the number of attacks is increasing year by year.
To this end, Samsung announced that it was the first to launch Message Guard services for the Galaxy S23 series of phones, which can block this terrible "zero-click attack."
Samsung says the Message Guard service is an advanced "sandboxie" or a virtual isolation. When the picture file arrives, it is captured and isolated from the rest of the device, preventing malicious code from accessing the phone's file or interacting with the operating system. Samsung Message Guard will examine the file and process it in a controlled environment to ensure that it does not infect the rest of the device.
Samsung said the Message Guard service runs silently in the background and does not require user activation. Protected image formats include PNG, JPG / JPEG, GIF, ICO, WEBP, BMP and WBMP.
CTOnews.com has learned that the feature will also be rolled out to other Galaxy smartphones and tablets later this year, which will require One UI 5.1 and above.
