CTOnews.com, February 20, according to today's news from Taiwan's Economic Daily, Pearl, the first low-orbit satellite made by Hon Hai, is expected to launch this year. Its components are produced by subsidiaries of Hon Hai Group, involving Taiyang, Jianhan, Yisheng-KY and so on.

According to reports, the components used in the satellite are all produced by a subsidiary of Hon Hai Group. Hon Hai Leo satellite strategy is mainly based on car networking + B5G, advanced to smart city applications such as self-driving cars.

Liu Yangwei, chairman of Hon Hai, revealed at last year's shareholders' meeting that the satellite made by Hon Hai may be seen flying in the sky next year.

It is reported that Pearl will build a 6U experimental cube satellite, including OBC satellite computers, ADCS attitude control systems, Ku and Ka band array antenna communication payloads, camera modules, satellite modules, and so on, which are expected to be launched sometime this year.

CTOnews.com checked that Taiyang is a satellite communications company whose products include terrestrial microwave communications digital products, mobile communication base station modules, broadband wireless transmission and satellite communications equipment. It was also reported that it had won orders from the three major manufacturers of Space X, OneWeb and Kymeta.
