Taiwan media pointed out that NAND Flash is flash memory, has a wider range of applications than DRAM, and is widely used in a variety of products. Global inflation affects the demand for consumer terminal products. After big manufacturers such as Armor, Meguiar and SK Hynix announced production cuts one after another, Samsung finally relaxed at the end of last month and will take the initiative to reduce production capacity this quarter.

TrendForce Jibang Consulting said in January this year that as most suppliers have begun to reduce production, the quarterly decline in NAND Flash prices in the first quarter of 2023 will converge to 10% Murray 15%, and price reduction competition will also be brought under control after the original factory started to reduce production.

CTOnews.com has reported that NAND Flash experienced a sharp price drop in the second half of 2022, prompting suppliers to actively reduce production. Coupled with the higher price elasticity compared to DRAM, TrendForce Jibang Consulting expects the price downward cycle of NAND Flash to end earlier than DRAM.
