Currently, it is very easy for users to join the Windows Insider project, but there is no way to return to the official version. Microsoft introduced a "close channel" feature in the latest Beta version of the channel, allowing users to return to the official version. Microsoft says it will provide an annual window for users to exit the beta and return to the official version.

In response to feedback from Windows Insider project members on the Beta channel, Microsoft introduced the "Stop getting preview builds" option in Settings> Windows Update> Windows Insider Program of the new preview version of Win11. This option window will run until March 8, 2023.

During beta project exit, the troubleshooting app runs, new preview updates are no longer received from Beta channels, and the enablement package (EKB) is uninstalled. The troubleshooting app needs to be restarted to complete the process.

After that, the device will no longer receive new Insider Preview versions from the Beta channel. To see if this troubleshooting program is already running on your device, go to Settings> Troubleshooting> Recommended Troubleshooting History.

Once the troubleshooting process is complete, the device will be upgraded with version "B" for March 2023 (next Patch Tuesday), which will keep the device in sync with the released Windows 11 version 22H2. From there, the device will continue to receive normal monthly service updates.

This option window runs until March 8, 2023, and users who close this option will not exit the Beta channel, and users can receive the new version again in the next window.
