Code name "Lone Starr", Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphone rendering exposure
CTOnews.com Feb. 25 news, reliable source Kuba Wojciechowski shared a high-definition rendering of Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones in the latest tweet. The tweet also said that the headphone was internally codenamed "Lone Starr" and adopted a different design from QuietComfort 45 and Headphones 700.
Compared to Headphones 700 (released in 2019), QuietComfort Ultra is closer in design to QuietComfort 45 (released in 2021).
QuietComfort Ultra offers a larger headband buffer, as well as a textured outer layer like Sennheiser Momentum 4, but retains the ear cushion design of other Bose headphones.
Wojciechowski did not disclose any QuietComfort Ultra specifications, and CTOnews.com learned from the whistleblower's subsequent tweets that the headset appeared to be "in the early stages of development." However, the photo highlights that QuietComfort Ultra has repositioned the microphone grille compared to QuietComfort 45.
