This year's Tokyo video game fair will be held online and offline, and is expected to be the largest online and offline mixed exhibition in history. The offline exhibition has abolished the age limit for admission and can enter under 12 years old. The family-oriented exhibition area and cosplay area will also be revived, and new exhibition areas will be added, such as the hardware area for displaying PC and peripherals, the game living area for introducing game furniture & rooms, and so on. In addition, the game school district will be renamed the "Game Academy District", and all kinds of game-related educational institutions that train game talents can participate in the exhibition. The offline exhibition will expand the experiential content, using all the venues of the Tokyo Makuzhang Exhibition Center after four years, with an estimated attendance of 200000 people.

In addition to the online exhibition, the official programs and special pages of TGS VR and Steam will be continued. TGS forums and business meetings can also be conducted online.
