Global sales of Apple's iPhone phones fell 11% in January from a year earlier, down 8% from the previous month.

CTOnews.com, March 2 (Xinhua)-- according to the Counterpoint report, UBS, a multinational investment bank and financial services company, pointed out that overall sales of Apple's iPhone phones continued to decline in January.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that global sales of iPhone fell 11 per cent in January from a year earlier and 8 per cent month-on-month. This is an improvement from December, when sales fell 18% from a year earlier.

The report also points out that iPhone's sales in China fell 22 per cent in December from a year earlier, but increased by 6 per cent in January. The data show that the change in the sales rate in the United States is more moderate. The sales rate fell 4% in January, an improvement from the 8% year-on-year decline in December.
