A Huawei spokesman said the company was still evaluating the project. "We are aware of the status of the planning application and put it in an internal review and evaluation status during the outbreak," a Huawei spokesman said. The company had previously claimed that its investment in Cambridge represented a "significant vote of financial confidence in the UK", which would put the country at the forefront of chip research and development.
