At risk of personal information being stolen, Samsung urges Galaxy phone / tablet users to install March updates as soon as possible.

CTOnews.com March 11 news, Samsung recently issued a reminder to urge eligible Galaxy phone / tablet users to upgrade to March update as soon as possible. This update fixes a "critical" vulnerability that allows attackers to install malware and steal personal data such as passwords.

"Samsung Mobile is actively promoting the monthly security maintenance version (SMR) update, pushing maintenance updates for major flagship models," Samsung said in its March update log. The SMR package integrates patches from Google and Samsung.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that the March update released by Samsung fixed 39 vulnerabilities from Google's Android system and 11 vulnerabilities from Samsung devices.

It is reported that many models, such as Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S23 series, have been updated for March.
