Yusuf Mehdi, vice president and chief marketing officer of Microsoft, confirmed that AI, the Bing Chat chat robot, is running on GPT-4, and ChatGPT is based on the latest version of GPT-4, developed by OpenAI. A post on Microsoft's Bing blog further confirmed the news.

Microsoft said that if users have used the new Bing preview at any time in the past five weeks, they have already experienced an early version of this powerful model.
