CTOnews.com March 15 news, Sensor Tower released a report this morning that in February 2023, mobile game players around the world paid nearly $6.1 billion in App Store and Google Play (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 41.968 billion yuan), down 8.9 percent from a year earlier.

Of these, the United States remains the world's highest revenue market for mobile games, contributing $1.7 billion (currently about 11.696 billion yuan), accounting for 28.4 percent of global revenue. The Japanese market ranks second, accounting for 19.3%, while China's iOS market ranks third, accounting for 18.6%.

Specifically, in February 2023, Tencent "Arena of Valor" earned 225 million US dollars (currently about 1.548 billion yuan) in global App Store and Google Play, ranking first on the global best-selling list of mobile games. Revenue from China's iOS market accounts for 95 per cent, while revenue from overseas markets accounts for 5 per cent. It should be noted that this data does not include third-party Android channels.

According to Sensor Tower, the mobile end of Mihayou ranked No. 2 on the list with revenue of $186 million (currently about 1.28 billion yuan). Of these, 47.7% of the revenue comes from the Chinese iOS market, 20.7% from the Japanese market and 8.9% from the US market.

According to the data, Tencent "PUBG Mobile" (merging "Game for Peace" revenue) ranks third on the list with revenue of more than $140 million (currently about 963 million yuan). Of these, 73.7 per cent of the revenue comes from the Chinese iOS market, 6.1 per cent from the US market and 2.1 per cent from the Japanese market.

In addition, the other two games in the top five are King "Candy Crush Saga" and "Roblox".
